We are a husband and wife team based in Milwaukee WI that loves building, buildings, real estate, and adventure. We created Northern Route in 2020 to bring all of these passions together.
Meet the Team
Owner
Adam Klumb
Adam has over 10 years of experience in real estate, and construction. Adan leads Northern Route's construction projects from design through to project completion as well as short and long term rental operations.
Owner
Kathleen Ellis, CPHC, CEM
Kathleen is a building science and real estate nerd with 10 years of experience in engineering, sustainability, and real estate. In her professional career, she has led energy management and technical analysis for 1,000,000s of square feet of commercial properties including multifamily and higher-ed projects. As well as built out and managed the global sustainability program for a $3 billion multinational manufacturing company. During her career, she has built up a rental portfolio in Milwaukee. She is a licensed real estate broker and member of CARW. Kathleen leads Northern Route's acquisitions, passive house design, underwriting, and financing.
